General overview:

Psoriasis is a skin disorder that causes skin cells to divide up to 10 times faster than normal. This creates bumpy red patches on the skin covered with white scales. These blotches most commonly appear on the scalp, elbows, knees, and lower back.

• Topical treatments: keratolytic creams, vitamin D derivative creams and steroids
• Available medical procedures: Excimer laser (308 nm)
