Skin Rejuvenation

Overview:

Apart from the face and neck, the hand is the most visible unclothed area of our body. There are a variety of treatments that can improve signs of aging on the hands, depending on the cause. Extrinsic aging of the hands occurs due to exposure to either the sun or chemical irritants. They result in solar lentigines which are hyperpigmented areas on the hands that develop over time. These are treated with skin resurfacing using fractional laser, chemical peels, Intense Pulse light laser (IPL), Er:YAG laser or Q-switched laser. The hands also intrinsically age due to loss of elasticity and volume, causing the sking to appear thinner and making them look wrinkly and lax. This is treated using a combination of dermal fillers, mesotherapy, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and skin boosters.
