Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Overview:
Platelet Rich Plasma is a form of regenerative medicine that can harness the stem cells in plasma to stimulate the skin’s natural ability to heal itself and amplify our body’s growth factors. Plasma is obtained by drawing the patients blood and placing it in a special tube in the centrifuge machine. A concentration of the patient’s own plasma is then injected back into the skin. This accelerates the body’s production of collagen and elastin to provide overall skin rejuvenation. It is also injected into the scalp to restore hair growth and treat hair loss.
